For the 2008 Season Salina Region is implementing an Annual Inspection program.
Only Salina Region Members are eligible for annual inspection of their vehicles.
During a regular event the Tech Inspector will inspect the vehicle with the member and issue an Annual Inspection card.
At future event that year the member may present the card during registration and my elect to inspect their own vehicle for that event.
Members that choose to self-inspect must inspect their vehicle prior to running in the event. After inspecting their vehicle they must sign the inspection sheet then turn it in to the scoring trailer.
Self-inspected vehicles can be inspected by the Technical Inspector. As the Tech Inspector has time he should check self-inspected cars.
In the event of a safety violation the member that singed the inspection sheet will be held responsible.
The Technical Inspector, Event Chair, Event Safety, Regional Executive, Assistant Regional Executive or Solo Chair can revoke the ability for any or all members to self-inspect for an event.
The voting members of the Salina Region can revoke the self-inspect privilege of a member for the current season by way of a majority vote during a business meeting.
